Like many of you, I constantly have ideas running thru my head. It used to be the reason why I couldn’t fall asleep at night, until someone told me to take the time to write everything down and basically brain dump all my thoughts on to a piece of paper. As soon as I started to do that, not only was able to fall asleep but I felt more organized overall.
Keep your Ideas Organized with these 7 tips:
Pen & Paper
If you are like me, a pen and paper type of gal, I use these printables to basically plan out my day, every day to the last detail. I also have a planner that I use to plan everything from my kids schedules to my to-do’s and everything in between.
Evernote, Wunderlist & Google Keep
I have used Google keep for a while now and it works great. It lets me type in to-do’s that include pictures and checklists. I have even saved recipes on there for easy access to make a grocery list. The awesome thing about it is that I add notes using my phone and it automatically updates on the online version which I love.
Wunderlist & Evernote are pretty well known apps that seem to be great organizational tools for all your thoughts, ideas, and to-do’s. For a quick comparison on the two check out this post from Andrés Smerkin.
CoSchedule
I just found out about this awesome tool for bloggers. CoSchedule is a great tool for WordPress bloggers. It gives you the ability to plan, write, schedule, publish, and share your blog content. It also allows you to schedule your social media and revive old posts. I have been trying the free trial and think it could be a great addition to my blogging tools.
Email Yourself
When all else fails and you are in the middle of no where and want to remind yourself about something without filling up your phone with apps or leaving not-so-sweet paper trails all over the house, just email yourself!

I have been using these “recipes” for a few moths now. There is a ton you can pick from, or you can make your own. Basically it works a little like this… I have one that instantly tweets whatever I post on Instagram with a picture. There is also one that I am looking into now that saves photos I like on Instagram to Evernote, so you can see how these “recipes” can come in handy when it comes to organizing ideas, maybe even inspiration.
It’s your turn, how do you stay organized?
