Hi friends! This is a quick post just to share a very inexpensive way to get those awesome acrylic makeup storage cubes that are so sought after.
I have been wanting one for a while but everywhere I looked they cost hundreds of dollars.
First I went to all my local discount department stores, you know the TJ Maxx, Marshalls etc. I had heard that it was possible to find some decent ones if you really looked. I, had no luck. All the ones I found were pretty banged up and to find one that was not scratched, well that was just impossible!
Then searched online. There is so many options online that I was afraid to pick something that was just going to be a big disapointment once it arrived. Guess what. I was lucky! Well I actually did a good amount of research. Many cubes make screaching noises when opening, or come ill packaged, scratched, you name it I heard it.
Then I found Muji.
I wanted to get a cube that fit my makeup storage needs. I needed some to be large enough to fit some of my bigger items, yet I wanted some that would fit my eyeshadows and lipsticks neatly organized too.
I opted to buy two cases and stack them one above another. They fit perfectly. The bottom one is the 5 drawer case. I use this one for all my smaller items that includes my naked pallets and it works great! They don’t make any noise when opening and closing and have the both boxes have the little keyhole opening that facilitate the opening of the drawers.
The top case is the large 2 drawer acrylic case. This one fits my larger items like my Nars translucent powder.
Now for the most important part. The cost. I paid 27.95 for the 5 drawer and 25.25 for the 2 larger drawer case. This is before taxes and shipping cost but it is well under 100 dollars for both! Now you may want to get 2 of the 5 drawer or mix and match with other cases from Muji, either way they are a great option for all of those looking for a inexpensive acrylic makeup organizer.
