If you have children you know how important it is to help your child build their self-esteem.
It isn’t always as easy as it seems.
These two cuties below are my kids.
One day, my older son Luis, who wears glasses, came home and told me he didn’t want to wear his glasses anymore.
When I asked him why, he told me that someone told him that they didn’t look good.
I was furious to say the least. I went thru a rush of emotions for him.
First I was mad, then I was sad for my son.
I kept thinking what kind of parent would teach a child it is okay to say bad stuff to another kid? It must be the parents fault right?
But then I thought, that’s life. Life can be cruel, it’s not always nice.
It is not our job to make are kids hard, it is our job to teach our kids how to deal with others.
I told my child he was different and that there is something very special in that. I also made him see that tons of people would tell him how cool his glasses are and that the boy probably thought they were cool and said that he didn’t like them because he couldn’t have them.
The next day, he wore them to school proudly.

Thank you for this sweet printable. I think every child gets mocked at some point in their life, and my child seems to be extra-sensitive. I really appreciate it!
